Terri Bland - Office Manager

Terri moved to Terrace recently to pursue a lifestyle that allows her to breath fresh air and spend more time in the out doors.  Having an extensive background managing the office a civil law enforcement business in Calgary and keeping the books of a much larger company in order, we quickly requited her to run the Skeena Valley Expeditions office.  She and her dog Tucker are a welcome addition to the team.

 

 

 

Ashley Kerr - Graphic Design Specialist

Though she is new to the river rafting industry, Ashley is a Terrace, British Columbia local, born and raised. After spending a season at Northern Escape Heli-Skiing, she has been opened up to a whole new world of outdoor adventures, with plenty still to come!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lonna Sheen - Menu Specialist/Transport Queen

After many years of Yoga instructing, cooking, travelling, gardening and living the life in the fast-paced outdoor mecca of Whistler, B.C. she has joined us in the remote and semi secret abode of Terrace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

History

Hatha worked for Rivers and Oceans for nearly a decade. He spent most of his time guiding on the Tatshenshini and Babine Rivers but also helped out on the Chilko River some and with a variety of general company activities.  Rivers and Oceans ceased their operations after the 2005 summer and did not resume in 2006.  The timing was right and Skeena Valley Expeditions purchased much of Rivers and Oceans' equipment, and their Tatshenshini, Babine, and Chilko River permits.

Tim Schoahs, the former Rivers and Oceans manager is working closely with Skeena Valley Expeditions to ensure the smooth transition of a long tradition of high quality trips to new hands.

Skeena Valley Expeditions will is focusing on the northern expeditions and is offering Tatshenshini and Babine departures in the 2008 summer.

The Skeena Valley Expeditions trips maintains the same high standards in terms of customer service, environmental stewardship, safety standards, quality equipment, experienced guides, exceptional food, fine wine, and attention to detail that made the previous Rivers and Oceans trips so popular.

The same commitment to our guests in terms of pre trip, on trip and post trip care is given as a standard cornerstone feature of Skeena Valley Expeditions.

Also, the same commitment  to environmentally responsible operating procedures is maintained in an effort to leave the pristine areas we visit unchanged for future generations to enjoy.
