Overview
Are you intrigued by the prospect of an adventurous career, simply want to develop sound whitewater skills, or enhance an already strong set of personal river skills? Then this is for you.
BC raft guides work in exotic locations all over the world including Nepal, New Zealand, Australia, Ecuador, Switzerland, and Zimbabwae as well as here at home in BC at any number of day rafting operations or on the longer expedition trips through Northern BC and the Canadian Arctic.
This course will provide instruction in whitewater rafting techniques, include a Swiftwater Rescue Technician certification and ultimately give you the skills to pass the BC River Outfitters' Association sanctioned exam in the oar guiding field allowing you to work as a river raft guide.

- $2400 CAD + GST
- May 17th - 26th, 2010
This Program Includes:
- 7 day guide school taught by experienced industry professionals on a variety of local rivers
- 3 day Swiftwater Rescue Technician (SRT) certification
- All transportation to and from the field each day on the guide school section of the course
- Lunches, snacks and drinks throughout the day
- All "company" equipment such as river rafts, safety equipment, paddles and oars, etc.
- Some personal equipment including wetsuits, spray jackets, helmets, wetsuit booties, and life jackets
